Mapinia safety and community standards

An overview of Mapinia’s 18+ requirement, reporting, blocking, moderation, sensitive content, child-safety rules, and safer location sharing.

Mapinia is intended for adults aged 18 and over. Community participation must remain lawful, respectful, consensual, and safe.

Report and block

Eligible profiles, map posts, comments, collections, events, and event content can be reported from their action menu. Blocking removes unwanted interactions and blocked accounts can be managed from settings.

Moderation

Reports enter a moderation workflow. Depending on the review, content can be hidden, removed, or restored and accounts can receive warnings, suspensions, or bans. High-risk safety reports receive elevated priority.

Prohibited exploitation

Mapinia applies zero-tolerance standards to child sexual abuse and exploitation, grooming, trafficking, non-consensual sexual content, and other exploitative material. Suspected violations can result in permanent account action, evidence preservation, and cooperation with appropriate authorities where required.

Share location carefully

Do not expose a private home, school, workplace routine, child’s location, or another person’s location without permission. Use the narrowest appropriate visibility and report content that creates a safety risk.

Authoritative rules

Read the Safety Center, Community Guidelines, and Child Safety Standards.
