Mapinia privacy and data controls

A plain-language overview of Mapinia account data, precise location, user content, messages, purchases, permissions, retention, and account controls.

Mapinia is a social and location-based service. Features can process account and profile information, precise location when enabled, photos or videos, map posts, comments, collections, event content, messages, audio messages, social interactions, device or push identifiers, purchase history, and product-interaction information.

Why information is used

Information supports authentication, map and proximity features, content sharing, messaging, events, subscriptions, notifications, safety, moderation, fraud prevention, support, and service improvement.

Location choices

General map browsing can begin from a default region when location permission is denied. Precise location is required only for features that depend on proximity or confirmed location sharing. Mapinia does not create an automatic check-in; sharing requires a user action and confirmation.

Content and visibility

Choose appropriate visibility for eligible content. Public content can be seen by other people and may be associated with a place. Avoid sharing home addresses, live routines, or other sensitive information.

Account and subscription controls

Mapinia provides account-deletion controls. Deleting an account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription; manage the subscription separately before deletion to prevent renewal.
